  5. Creating a Spelling Test
  6.  
  7.         1) From the opening window select 'Create Test'
  8.         2) Enter a name for your new test
  9.         3) When the create windows appear, type your first word in the
  10.                 edit field with the blinking cursor. When finished, click 
  11.                 RECORD or press <RETURN>. 
  12.         4) The recording dialog will appear. Click record and say the word
  13.                 into your mic. Click stop when you are finished. (Try to keep
  14.                 your recording as short as possible to save memory. Most
  15.                 words should take no more than 1 sec.) If you wish to hear
  16.                 what you just recorded, click play. If you are not satisfied, 
  17.                 click record again to record over your previous effort. When
  18.                 you are satisfied with the recording, click SAVE.
  19.         5) You will return to the create window and be prompted to
  20.                 enter the second word. Repeat the same procedure. When you 
  21.                 are finished with the list, click DONE.
  22.         Note: To keep memory requirements low, Spell Tutor is limited to
  23.                         30 words and a maximum of 16 letters in each word.

  25. Changing a word in the current list
  26.  
  27.         1) To change or correct a word previously entered, click on it in
  28.                 the window to the left. That word will be placed into the 
  29.                 edit field automatically. Make any changes to the word. Click
  30.                 record or press <RETURN>. You will be asked if you wish to
  31.                 re-record the sound. Same precedure as above.
  32.         2) When you click SAVE or NO, you will return to entering the
  33.                 next word on the list.

  35. Editing a previously saved spelling list
  36.  
  37.         1) From the opening window, choose OPEN... from the FILE MENU.
  38.                 (This is the only window where this choice is available.)
  39.                 Choose the test you wish to open. You will go to the create
  40.                 window and the list will be placed into the left window. From
  41.                 here you may add to the list, or edit previous words by 
  42.                 following the procedure above.

  44. Taking a test
  45.  
  46.         1) Choose 'Take Test' from the opening window.
  47.         2) Select the test you wish to take.
  48.         3) When a dialog box appears, click original order to hear the
  49.                 words in the order which they were entered or, click 
  50.                 random order to have the words mixed up.
  51.         4) Click HEAR THE WORD or press <TAB> to hear the first
  52.                 word.
  53.         5)    After you have entered the word, click OK or press <RETURN>.
  54.         6)    The word will appear in either the correct or incorrect list.
  55.         7)  After you enter the final word, you will see a screen showing
  56.                 you your score. There will also be 3 or 4 buttons depending on
  57.                 whether you missed any words.
  58.                 Review Misses allows you to review just the missed words.
  59.                 Review All gives you the entire list again.
  60.                 New List allow you to open another test
  61.                 Quit returns you to the opening screen
  62.         8) From the review screen, you can choose Print List from the
  63.                 File Menu and the list will be printed with an * beside the
  64.                 missed words.
  65.         Special secret: While in the Redo Screen only, you can press the
  66.                 up arrow key and the correct spelling of the word will 
  67.                 appear in the edit field for 1 second.
